  • 2 pounds Ground Beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1 packet Ranch Dressing Mix or homemade ranch seasoning
  • 1 packet Au Jus Gravy Mix or any gravy mix
  • ½ cup Water
  • 8 slices Cheddar Cheese or other cheese varieties
For the Buns
  • 8 pieces Hamburger Buns fresh and toasted
  • ¼ cup Butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder for flavor
Optional Toppings
  • 1 cup Lettuce crisp romaine or buttery lettuce
  • 2 medium Tomato ripe and firm
  • 1 medium Onion grilled or raw
  • 1 cup Pickles
  • 8 slices Bacon crispy

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with both the Ranch dressing mix and Au Jus gravy mix, ensuring even distribution.
  2. Pour in the water and continue to mix until just combined.
  3. Divide the meat mixture into eight equal portions and shape each into a patty about ¾ inch thick.
  4. If you have time, place your formed patties in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or place a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Place the patties onto the hot grill or skillet, cooking them for about 4-5 minutes on each side.
  3. Once cooked to your preferred doneness, transfer the Crack Burgers to a plate and let them rest for a few minutes.
  4. Brush your hamburger buns with melted butter and sprinkle them with garlic powder, then toast them until golden brown.
  5. Assemble your Crack Burgers with a patty on the bottom half of each bun, followed by your favorite toppings.
  6. Serve the Crack Burgers right away while they’re hot and juicy.
