Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Arrange saltine crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat, then add sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- Allow the mixture to come to a boil without stirring for 3-4 minutes until it thickens.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract, then pour over the crackers.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 3-5 minutes until bubbly.
- Immediately sprinkle chocolate chips on top of the hot toffee.
- Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the toffee.
- Sprinkle with coarse sea salt and cinnamon sugar before the chocolate sets.
- Allow to cool completely for 1-2 hours until hardened.
- Break into pieces and serve.
