Preparation Steps
  1. In a large skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced chicken sausage and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
  2. In the same skillet, add chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onions become translucent and fragrant.
  3. Stir in the broccoli florets and orzo pasta. Pour in low-sodium chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Cover and let it cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. After 8-10 minutes, check the orzo for tenderness. If needed, cook for an additional couple of minutes.
  5. Once the orzo is perfectly cooked, return the sautéed chicken sausage to the skillet. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until creamy and well combined.
