Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, add the shredded carrots, thin apple slices, raisins or dried cranberries, and nuts if you're using them. Stir gently to blend the textures and colors.

  3. Pour the creamy dressing over the salad ingredients. Toss gently until everything is evenly coated.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the salad for at least 15 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
