Ingredients
  

For the Chicken
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour can substitute with whole wheat flour
For the Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter can add more for richness
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ cup fresh lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 tablespoons capers
  • 1 cup chicken broth low-sodium recommended
For Garnish
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 whole lemon sliced

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Pound chicken breasts to ½ inch thickness between plastic wrap.
  2. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Dredge chicken in flour and shake off excess.
  4. Heat olive oil in skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden.
  5. Remove chicken and lower heat. Add butter and garlic to skillet and sauté for 1 minute.
  6. Pour in lemon juice and chicken broth, scraping brown bits from skillet.
  7. Stir in capers, salt, and pepper. Simmer sauce for 5 minutes to thicken.
  8. Return chicken to skillet, coat with sauce, and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  9. Garnish with parsley and lemon slices before serving.
