Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Pulse the chocolate wafers until fine crumbs. In a bowl, combine with melted butter, sugar, and salt. Press into pie plate.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until set and fragrant. Let cool completely on a wire rack.
- In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add peanut butter, then mix in powdered sugar, whipped cream, and vanilla until fluffy.
- Pour the peanut butter filling into the cooled crust and smooth the top. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
- Heat heavy cream for ganache and pour over chopped chocolate. Stir until smooth and glossy. Cool slightly and pour over filling.
- Return pie to the refrigerator for another 30 minutes to firm up the ganache.
- Garnish with peanuts, chocolate shavings, or peanut butter cups and serve chilled.
