Step 1: Prepare Apple Filling
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Peel, core, and slice 6 cups of apples. Toss with lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, sugar, and flour.
Step 2: Make Streusel Topping
- Combine oats, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, salt, and flour. Cut in very cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Step 3: Assemble & Bake
- Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. Spread apple filling evenly and sprinkle with streusel. Bake for 45 to 60 minutes until golden brown.
Step 4: Cool & Serve
- Let cool for 15 to 20 minutes before serving warm with ice cream or caramel sauce.
