Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Season your chicken breasts generously with Italian seasoning, crushed red pepper, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil. Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the skillet. Cook for 5-6 minutes on one side until golden, then flip and cook for another 5-6 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat slightly and add butter. Add chopped onion and asparagus, cooking for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and lemon juice, stirring to combine. Allow to simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Return the seared chicken to the skillet, ensuring it's coated with the sauce. Simmer together for another 3-4 minutes, adjusting seasoning as needed.
  7. Remove from heat and serve hot, garnished with Parmesan cheese or fresh parsley if desired.
