Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  5. Gradually add dry mixture and buttermilk, alternating between the two until just combined.
  6. Fold in semi-sweet chocolate chips gently into the batter.
  7. Warm the hot fudge sauce until it's pourable, being careful not to overheat.
  8. Layer half of the batter in the pan, drizzle half of the fudge sauce, then add remaining batter and top with fudge.
  9. Bake for 55-70 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
  10. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
