Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it apart for 5-7 minutes.
  2. Sauté chopped onions for 3-5 minutes until translucent, then add minced garlic for 1 minute.
  3. Sprinkle taco seasoning and pour in water, stirring well and simmering for 5 minutes.
  4. Add rinsed black beans and drained corn, cooking for 2-3 minutes until heated.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Spread a layer of tortilla chips across the baking sheet.
  7. Evenly distribute the beef mixture over the chips.
  8. Sprinkle cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese generously over the top.
  9. Bake for 5-10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Add toppings like sour cream, guacamole, salsa, jalapeños, cilantro, and green onions.
