Ingredients

For the Skewers
  • 10 pieces Frozen Pretzel Sticks Can substitute with fresh or homemade dough.
  • 12 pieces Mini Beef Sausages Consider using mini bratwurst or vegetarian alternatives.
  • 200 grams Cheese Cubes (e.g., Gouda or Emmental) Can swap with Cheddar or non-dairy cheese.
  • 10 pieces Mini Pickled Gherkins Cherry tomatoes can be a substitute.
  • 1 teaspoon Coarse Salt Kosher salt works well as an alternative.
  • 6 pieces Long Wooden Skewers Bamboo skewers can be used if wooden ones are unavailable.

Equipment

  • Oven
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Wooden Skewers

Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Thaw the frozen pretzel sticks completely, then cut them into 4–6 bite-sized pieces.
  2. Take a long wooden skewer and start threading on the ingredients. Alternate between pretzel pieces, mini beef sausages, cheese cubes, and mini pickled gherkins, aiming for about 3-4 pretzel bites per skewer.
  3. Arrange the assembled skewers on the baking sheet and sprinkle coarse salt on top. Bake in the oven for 10–15 minutes, until golden and the cheese is melty.
  4. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces.
