- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 3 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, ½ teaspoon of ground nutmeg, and ¼ teaspoon of salt.
- In a separate bowl, cream together 1 cup of softened unsalted butter and 2 cups of granulated sugar using an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy.
- Add 4 large eggs to the mixture, one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with 1 cup of sour cream, mixing on low speed until just combined.
- Gently fold in 2 cups of hulled and chopped fresh strawberries and ½ cup of chopped walnuts or pecans.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
