Step-by-Step Instructions for Strawberry Lemonade
  1. Hull 2 cups of fresh, ripe strawberries and place them in a medium saucepan. Sprinkle 1 cup of granulated sugar over the strawberries, stirring well to combine. Let this mixture sit at room temperature for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat and gently bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugar completely. Simmer for about 10-15 minutes.
  3. Once the strawberries are soft, carefully pour the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a heatproof bowl, pressing gently to extract as much syrup as possible.
  4. Allow the extracted strawberry syrup to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes, or place it in the refrigerator to speed up the process.
  5. While the syrup cools, squeeze juice from roughly 8-10 fresh lemons until you have 1½ cups of freshly squeezed lemon juice.
  6. In a large pitcher, combine the cooled strawberry syrup, 1½ cups of lemon juice, and 6 cups of cold water. Stir gently to blend the flavors together.
  7. Cover the pitcher and chill the Strawberry Lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  8. When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled Strawberry Lemonade over the ice. Garnish each glass with a slice of lemon and a fresh strawberry.
  9. Enjoy your homemade Strawberry Lemonade with family and friends!
